I would like to thank Connie and Keith for all their help in finding me a lovely flat on the west bank for the new year. The flat was very spacious, clean and very reasonably priced so once again a great big THANK YOU.

You too DVC. They sorted one for us from 9th to 23rd Jan and it was excellent. Perfectly located 5 mins from the ferry and you could walk the other way along the side of the Nile and find peace and quiet and a sandy beach!
I believe Q and her family are using it later this year.

Somewhere along the way my original point got missed. What I wanted to know was WHY this thread has been a Sticky for 5 years when it has been completely dormant all this time. I was not intending to suggest that it had only recently been awarded Sticky status. But somehow I seem to have started up an interesting and enlightening discussion. :be:

Strange Brian, its seem to me that's what you was refering to, like you said "is given sticky status 5 years later", NOT its been a sticky for 5 years or still a sticky after 5 years.

And again what was the "self-promational" bit about ? Self Promotional is something I would have promoted myself, but you can clearly see that the posts were made by genuine forum members (not me) who have rented flats.

I confirm that I made this post have a sticky many years ago. (The world has moved on since then)

Keith and I had worked hard at setting up the Agency and it was a genuine note of thanks. As Wills said, she had also booked flats through us and was equally satisfied, therefore it was appropriate to make the post a sticky as it was drawing the service to people's attention. That has not changed.

Also, Keith made it clear from the day that the site was set up that it was a commerical site that had to pay its way. So, self-promotion or not, keith can do what he likes. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

In this case he is innocent. As co-owner at the time, it was me that made the decision to put the sticky on it and I take the blame.
