Who2 after reading your post regarding the Max Hastings article in the Guardian which I thought was excellent I then found out about Gideon Levy and his book The Punishment of Gaza. Once again an excellent book to read. The whole world needs to wake up to what the President of Israel's real aims are and that is to not only get rid of all Palestinians from the West Bank but from Gaza as well.

Something that’s been evident for years I’m sad to say and still the world does nothing to stop it happening. Why the world is pro Israel I’ll never understand. The West is arming Israel so they can kill innocent Palestinians, why? The UK politicians can’t make a decision as to recognising Palestine as a state.

Perhaps it could stem from the fact that the "Palestinians", through their leaders Hamas, and other Arab countries surrounding Israel have sworn to eradicate the Jews completely!

For over half a century Israel has ridden roughshod over the Palestinians by building settlements despite the fact that on November 22nd 1967 the UN Security Council passed Resolution242. The resolution is used as a framework for implementing the two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israel conflict. But since it's adoption over 50 years ago ,Israel has violated the resolution by entrenching it's occupation of the Palestinian territories through illegal settlements.
