Question for Newcastle ? What's it like in Hurghada ?
Are the Russians still arriving and how are the russian shops coping ?.....

A friend of the family recently stayed in a water themed park hotel in Hurghada for the sake of the kids and they hated it, why? It was full of Russians.

Haven't been to Hurghada for years but one of the sights I disliked most when there was seeing Russian men round the pool wearing tiny black thongs.It wasn't just Hurghada - when I visited my sister in Dubai it was exactly the same there.Yuk!

Even worse at the hotel I was staying in I saw 2 guys enter the swimming pool wearing their CK underware under their shorts. I wished they changed the water. Say no more.

One of my favorites when flying in...or out....or just there buying marine quality parts or buying and eating fish.


Other than that Hurghada is just a half built st*thole/building site.

Can they still use Russian Debit/Credit Cards in Egypt?

It seems Mastercard and Visa have blocked Russian credit cards, though they can be used in certain countries and at home.
