A Morbid Taste for Bones.

Post by Who2 »

Time wasting.......
I've just discovered Brother Cadfael, never watched it before..

Brilliantly acted and funny a great story line and my mate Anna when she was an innocent.
Surprised me she wasn't half bad we all used to call her 'meme..she loved organising.

From the 'sweet 'youthful 'little Anna depicted above, to this..... at 3am in our salon, after a film crew turned our studios
into a japanese pole dancing club for an episode of Bad Girls..
16031
Anna is highly talented as are her family, she can pole dance as can Rury and Nick,
'but not whilst drunk...as witnessed..

The film crew left at 9am........but left the booze....we obviously sold them at an inflated price...
16030

Great times....happy days!........ 8)

Derek Jacobi….Sir Derek now….one of our greatest actors and “ national treasure”.

I bought the DVD of the Cadfael series some time ago and binged watched the whole lot.

He was also brilliant in “ I, Claudius” seamlessly morphing from a young man into the ageing emperor.

Quite by chance I'm on book 18 at the moment - The Summer of the Danes. I still watch DVDs as well that I've collected from charity shops in the summers each year when I go back to the UK, I now have quite a collection. (The good thing about getting older is that you can watch programmes over and over again without being able to remember WhoDunnit.)

Definitely one of the benefits of old age

The frightening thing is how even recent views/listens disappear from the memory…..you start to worry every time you leave the house.

I’ve come back a few times to the smouldering ruins of a curry I’d put on to simmer….or had to clean the exploded contents of boiled eggs off the walls.

But, as you say, the compensation of being able to enjoy re-watching TV classics, or re-listening to audiobooks more than compensates. :up

Cadfael the storylines are becoming similar. Still enjoyable though.
But find it more interesting following the careers of it's actors.

I remember my mate Ray once drunkenly stating "He had slept with Catherine Zeta-Jones.....
16035

"Really ?
A full scale interrogation ensued as to actors controlling their 'natural reactions when half naked
in bed with amazing looking actresses..

When I was chasing 'the tail of religion we bought a house in Aylesford Village (where half a sixpence was filmed)
Just down the road was a Carmelite Priory The Friars, peaking all my then religious 'inquisitions.

Like, I already knew the art of how to create holy water,
they had a 2000 gallon tank and did exactly the same sanctifications as to my glassfull. lol.

I been thinking about my cuz, Brother John recently he gave up the high life, gave all his worldly goods
to Holy Cross and now produces their mead.

Bruv: John.
The Hospital of St Cross and almshouse of Noble Poverty..

I've been looking into The Charterhouse just around the corner, I reckon one day they will need a beekeeper
and mead maker...of Noble Poverty... 8)

Ps: It's called planning ahead!
Pss: I knew cousin John was losing the 'plot, when he ran the 'tuck shop at his old alma mater Winchester Collage... 'weird!

Oh! they will be using Winchester instead of Eton in the next series of The Crown,so I hear..
