Being a politician for a number of years changes them all...

I mean jeremey in the early days seemed a bit of a rebel...
And being honest Diane was quite fit in her youth.

But a park named after her! 'they will be wanting to rename Jeremy's finchley allotment next.
Or will they ?
Oh! and don't forget she was the first black female M.P. to be elected to The House of Commons.
'Not a bad feat in my book...

I'm off to watch a bit of religion, outside the pub in the sun...
Ps: Just remembered, that they turned down that idea of another holocaust memorial
over in Victoria Gardens..."Our Lord moves in mysterious ways"

And now, she's just the stupidest black female MP in the Commons.

“William Ewart Gladstone (1809 – 1898) served as a Liberal British Prime Minister for 12 years, across four terms from 1868 to 1894.
He is regarded as one of the greatest statesmen of the Victorian era for his political reforms, such as the introduction of the secret ballot and the modernisation of the British Army.”
I have no problem with the park being renamed……but Diane Abbott has a bit of catching up to do in terms of stature.

Stumbling over East European countries is no great sin…and I very much doubt she is actually ignorant of the distinction between Croatia and Ukraine, or which of the two Russia has invaded.
With a history degree from Cambridge she’s obviously not daft….although sh*gging Jeremy Corbyn makes you wonder about her judgement ( or eyesight).
But she is fated to be the butt of anti-Labour jokes and can’t seem to open her mouth without inserting both feet.

Re: In Space No-one Can Hear You Scream ......
The idea of a London park being renamed because of its association with a 19th century politician….whose family were slave owners……came to mind when I heard of the diversion of Prince Edward from Grenada….apparently because of possible protests.
Grenada is one of those odd countries…..independent but with the Queen still as its head of state. Like Prince William ( who suffered similar interference with his recent trip), Prince Edward is conducting a Caribbean tour related to the Platinum Anniversary celebrations….her majesty being, understandably, too frail for such a junket.
Somewhat churlishly ( in my view) some Caribbean islands see this as an opportunity to demand an apology, and recompense, for Britain’s involvement in the transatlantic slave trade.
I can see their point…..but where would it end? How far back have we to go to expiate the sins of our forefathers?

And what about the Romans? What have they ever done for us.
Missis Kween is a distant descendant of William the Conqueror (or B’stard, if you prefer) so perhaps we should be asking the French for a handout. Mind you….they have other things on their mind this weekend with the possibility of electing a President who makes Trump look perfectly rational

She was probably p****d. Three years ago this appeared:

If she can't hold off until she gets to a bar then she has a problem.

I've been in The Westminster Palace 3 times, but I've never been invited for a drink.
But this from a journo:
As a journalist based in the palace, I am entitled to go into some of these bars, and have visited as many as I can… purely for research, obviously. In my 12 years in Westminster I have drank in the following places:
The Lord’s bar, The Bishop’s bar, The Peer’s dining room, The Peer’s guest room, The Pugin room, The Terrace Pavillion, The Stranger’s bar, The Terrace Cafeteria, The Thames Pavillion, The Speaker’s State Rooms, The River restaurant, Bellamy’s, The Debate, The Jubilee room, The Adjournment, The Member’s Dining Room, The Stranger’s Dining Room, The Sport’s and Social bar, The Inter-Parliamentary Union Room, The Churchill Room, The Cholmondeley Room, The Barry room, The Home room, The Jubilee Cafe, The Atlee Room, Millbank House Cafeteria, The River dining rooms and Moncrieffs (the club house for journalists).
So, that's another reason why they lose it after a few years, 'looking after all our interests!..lol.
Remember that labour MP who got banned for headbutting another MP in one
of their many bars ? And it's all supplemented cheap booze I hear, paid for by us lot, us plebs, us proles....
Ps: us lot The Great British Public.
Pss: Blimey ! all this writing brings on a terrible thirst, so 'tara it's sunny....the hostelry beckons!
