Probably Conan Doyle's daftest story.
But beautifully filmed as usual by Lawrence Jones for Granada Television.
They use such great locations and props.
Now this prop fascinated me..
Holmes puts his fag butt into this amazing hookah smoking automaton monkey.
As opposed to him stubbing one out earlier in his soft boiled breakfast egg! 'ugg....
So thought it was a victorian antique ? No, commissioned by Granda TV....

I wonder who made it ?
Anyhow Clerkenwell and Holmes ?
He jumped off the roof of St Barts down the road.
And used St Bartholomews the Great.
And they used the our old prison the house of detention where we used to hold parties..

Hercule Poirot is better catered for round here.
And of course, not forgetting Charlie Dickens....
Ps: Anyhow, back to doing something productive..
Pss: A great Holmes statement to Watson.."Never go unarmed east of aldgate"
Sherlock Holmes and the Creeping Man.

Re: Sherlock Holmes and the Creeping Man.
Nice links. Prompted me to look for the original programme
