Mecca vs Marbella or even Margate.

Post by Who2 »

On average 2 million Muslims visit Mecca at this time of the year.
This time of the year on average 2 million UK tourists visit anywhere that's hot.

Mass tourism of 'sun-seeking UK tourists started here in the 1960's.
Mass tourism of Muslims visiting Mecca started about the 1980's.

The sun shines all over this world as do religions.
But there's something here, I cannot quite put my finger on.

No doubt elucidation will descend upon me later today..'inshallah..8)

Ps: Iv'e never felt the need to visit a church regarding my religion and
never felt the need to visit Margate for a suntan.

P*ss: Have you heard the latest from Geoff (Mrs Queens' Ambassador) 'Egypt is open for business ?

Another gem from Her Maj’s representative :

#AMAY | No restrictions on travel to Egypt from UK: Ambassador

Britain’s Ambassador to Cairo, Geoffrey Adams, hailed the precautionary measures Egypt has taken to resume tourism and assured there are no restrictions on traveling to Egypt from the UK.

Why is the World not asking Egypt how they have so many recovered CV19 infections.
Here's the World's current status.
15729
And here is my list on countries not to visit:

The cities of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada received more than 26,000 tourists from:
Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, Hungary and Serbia.
I find it hard to believe Egyptians are wearing masks and social distancing, but then it's
all, 'God's will.... 8)

Ps: If any idiot has gone on holiday since February they deserve all they get.
isolate the lot, if & when they return to any the 136 UK uninhabited islands...

At a guess.....because the world doesn’t believe for a minute the statistics emanating from Egypt

For example, it’s still on the “essential travel only” lists of most countries...including U.K.

The Gulf states require returning Egyptian workers to take a COVID-19 test before entering.

As far as Egypt is concerned, the return of tourists is all-important so any “negative” news would be suppressed anyway. It’s all about impressions. They require incoming tourists to declare that they are COVID free....well, they would, wouldn’t they

They also ask you to confirm you have insurance....in the full knowledge that such insurance as you might have is almost certainly invalidated by your choice of Egypt as a destination!

Cynical or what?

Never mind Mecca it seems that 2 million Christians have invaded the beaches in Bournemouth to worship the sun. This may last for a couple more months provided the holy one allows the sun to shine :D :D :D

No! Not 2 million Christians, but highly likely 2 million Covidiots.

The UK is set for a rise in cases of Covid-19 and skin cancer.

Bournemouth, where I was born...c1949 scorpio rising..
You can't win really can you ? 'they moaned about no business now they moan about too much business.
All those 'must visit cornish type villages roads jam packed with 4x4's and motorhomes.

Hilarious to be honest, I know, Iv'e lived in many of those idilic 'must visit places.
And robbed a few of those day-tripper 'must visit manors...
I blame the telly..'must have, go there, buy this, buy a bleeding chateau...

Anyhow we british love sun, booze, birds, 'those ba*stards can't dictate to us were british..
So, Bournemouth here we come....cough cough..

If I was in Bournemouth these days 'toilets, I would invest in Portaloos, big money don't knock it.
I know a bit about portaloos.... 8)

I'm very surprised that a Bournmouth beach hut only cost £2,000. I thought they were beyond silly money these days.

Germany has just updated its warning against non-essential travels to Egypt. It continues to keep Egypt on the list of high risk countries in terms of Corona. This is now mentioned in addition: "Die Testung auf COVID-19 erfolgt in Ägypten nicht risikoadaptiert und ist landesweit nicht einheitlich. Es ist daher von einer hohen Dunkelziffer auszugehen."

Translation: The testing for COVID-19 is not done risk adapted in Egypt and neither is consistent within the country. For this reason, one can assume that there is a high number of unreported cases.

The U.K. also advises against all but essential travel to Egypt....but is less specific in its reasons for doing so.
