Smoking kills, now vaping does the same.
It stated on the BBC news this morning, but not where, that a man was killed while vaping when the gadget exploded in his face while using it. No doubt that this will lead to more restrictions in their sale and usage.
Life is your's to do with as you wish- do not let other's try to control it for you. Count Dusak- 1345.

Dodgy electronic heaters....no surprise there.Dusak wrote:It stated on the BBC news this morning, but not where, that a man was killed while vaping when the gadget exploded in his face while using it. No doubt that this will lead to more restrictions in their sale and usage.
Not to worry...they're already illegal in Egypt (not that you'd know as they seem readily available and used by many!)

Not surprised.
Nasty gadgets altogether, well certainly from a non smoker point of view.
I was sitting in a cafe with friends the other day when someone at a nearby table started sucking noisily on one. The stench the followed. Eventually a member of staff asked them to stop or to go sit outside.

Have you ever smoked in your life Hepzi? I started using a vape, but like Hepzi says the stink and the clouds above ones head were just unacceptable. Back to Shisha!!

Mobile phones have been known to explode, just google it and you will see.
As have electric clocks - someone i worked with was contacted at work to be told her flat had been burnt to destruction. The sun had heated the clock causing a dodgy component in it to catch fire.
Incidents of this nature happen all the time but sensibly we don't call for their banning.
Top tip - dont buy electrical items that cost £4.99 from China.
I quite recently was witness to an incident where two men were engaged in handbags.
The situation quickly escalated when one of them took out their vaping device and threw it at the other man. It hit him in the head and caused a gash which proceeded to bleed quite heavily.
I reckon that incident along with the exploding one cited here in this thread is more than enough to ban them and have anyone caught using them flogged in the public square.
By the way, this exploding device had been modified - rather badly as it turned out.
Ive been in places where people eat "noisily" but like the vapers they are the exception not the rule and the "huge" clouds of vape are caused by a high content of Vegetable Glycerin, most commercially available liquids tend to have more propylene Glycol than Vegetable Glycerin which enhances the flavor. Again, like food, some of the dishes eaten in eateries have a strong smell but we don't call for them to removed or banned but then again there is no war on eaters, shame because some people clearly do too much of it.

I hate to make you feel as though you're in the Cown Court here Zooropa, but we're you or were you not any where in the area of the Dover Castle within the Granby Street area. Incidently, long before that pub on the corner The Plantagenet, it was Wareing and Gillow furniture store,.........ask yer mum she will remember .Zooropa wrote:Dunno - it was in the City Center in the street.Who2 wrote:Interesting if not thoughtful post above.

The incident happened in cheap Side, near the old ice cream stand close to the now much diminished market, once the biggest under cover market in Europe - but i'm sure you knew that!
