Something to help push back the daily problems and worries for a while, insha' allah.
My husband could hardly speak he was so excited. It has been hard, but he managed magnificently, to cope with bottom-of-the-league Australia qualifying in past years, and not highly experienced Egypt. It will be interesting if we qualify too (tomorrow night we must beat Syria or have a 0-0 draw). Even more so if we play each other. Should make for some interesting phone calls.
Divorce is on the cards. I can see it coming, Aussies beat Egypt to stop then getting through to the semi's. Not really interested in football so didn't realise it was the "big" match till I went out yesterday the coffee shops had men standing in the road so they could watch the TV every thing seemed to have come to a halt. Knew Egypt had won when I heard this deafening roar.
"Oh, indeed you must excuse me, Master Copperfield! I am greatly obliged, and I should like it of all things, I assure you; but I am far too umble. There are people enough to tread upon me in my lowly state, without my doing outrage to their feelings by possessing learning. Learning ain't for me. A person like myself had better not aspire. If he is to get on in life, he must get on umbly, Master Copperfield!'"
Australia qualifies!!! 2-1
