Re: Cairo Airport obtains ACI safety award
So what?
The news is a bit short on what was inspected, and what was improved. I get the impression the ACI safety review is more about routine areas of airport safety rather than, say, passenger facilities, comfort and security...but who knows.
I'd like to announce the winner of the :
Best Meaningless Award for Improvement in Anything 2017.
And this year's award goes to.....*fanfare*....Cairo Airport !!
The award ceremony will be held in Bora Bora, Tahiti and , in accordance with standard practice, Newcastle will travel there (all expenses paid by Cairo Airport) to collect the prestigious award on their behalf.

Don't look back. That's not the direction you are travelling towards.
