Dig to Discover...

Post by Who2 »

As a budding 'archie ever since my Mum made me dig up the potatoes. I have been interested in antiques.
Studying, stealing, buying-selling, forging and collecting.
I'm a bit of an expert! in old stuff as was my Mum.

Anyhow back in 'blighty, they have just discovered a new brook/stream/well in Clerkenwell called Faggeswell.
Round the corner in Charterhouse, I know the area "like the back o' me hand.

That makes a total of 9 wells in my immediate manor, I live atop of Merlin's Well, but these wells allowed Clerkenwell to create....
2 roman vineyards, 3 breweries, 2 major Gin factories, and at least 2 popularist drunken uprisings.

Iv'e never lost that first excitement of digging up something from the ground,
that's why upon passing digs I regularly chuck over bit's of shabti's or the like, just to make the 'diggers day!... 8)

Is it a wise idea to dig up plague victims ? This is how Zombie Apocalypses start you know ? :br

Many springs were forgotten about during city construction, then people wonder why sink holes suddenly appear.
(That and bad plumbing )

We had a spring under an old cottage we lived in when we first moved to Wales. Late at night if you listened carefully you could hear it.
My Dear old mum thought the place was possessed so had it exorcised, for all the good it did... :tk

My cat is very good at detecting "presences", and also a Zen Master..... Like most cats.
