Explosion in Cairo
Egyptian state television News reports are saying that there are 22 dead and many injured in an explosion near the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo, no doubt today’s date is relevant to this incident.

Why is today's date relevant Horus? Let's hope the culprits are found quickly.

There was once a time that Christians, Muslims and Jews lived side by side without any problems in Egypt. What has happened to the world I ask myself!

Well up here most of them still do, it's the evil influence of 'the beirdy-weirdy's that cause all the problems..
Hang the lot all of them on Xmas Day, Now that would cause a bit of a stir on the international stage.....

There has been conflict between the various religions in Egypt ever since they co-existed. Only the degree of conflict has varied.
Thank goodness we now have a constitution guaranteeing freedom of religious belief.

Sadly, the death toll seems to have risen. This was not just a crime committed against Christians, but specifically against women and children.

The people that commit these crimes do not seek to gain, just take away.HEPZIBAH wrote:Sadly, the death toll seems to have risen. This was not just a crime committed against Christians, but specifically against women and children.

Re: Explosion in Cairo
I thought the constitution only recognised Christians, jews and muslims and not all religions (but I could be wrong as it has been some time since I read the constitution)newcastle wrote:There has been conflict between the various religions in Egypt ever since they co-existed. The constitution guarantees freedom of regious belief and practice.
The government, and the laws and regulations it generates, do not always comply with the constitution .
