Post by Horus »

Sad to say that he died today aged 73, he recorded some great songs and probably best known for these two amongst many more, RIP Bobby

Same day also Pete Burns died, remember "Dead or Alive"? You spin me round. Re Bobby Vee, he actually stood in for Buddy Holly when he did not appear due to the plane crash, with Big Bopper and Ritchie Vallance.

In that case you will remember this tribute record to Ritchie Vallance, Buddy Holly & the Big Bopper released after the plane crash.

Goodness Horus that really is a good memory you have, I had forgotten that one. I was going to put some music on but can no longer do so. Thanks for that.

Cheers, I don't think many would like my music, I have a really diverse like. From Connie Francis, The Marbles, Stevie Ray Vaughn to Il Divo, Escala, Oakridge Boys, Kevin B-----y Wilson. Myself and wife saw Bobby Vee a couple of years before we left the UK, in concert with John Mause (The Walkers) Billy J, Peter Sarsted, (Eden Kane's half brother) Jerry Marsden and Wayne Fontana, oh and of course PJ Proby
