twat in a hat fights back
So the Twat in a Hat has poopooed Mr Reeves big time. Have to say I am surprised that I agree in some part - a very small part - with what he says but to me he looses the argument with the character assassination attempt. It is possible Mr Reeves was hit with a barbed question from a journalist as to who or what was behind the doorways in the tomb and spoke without thinking but he should have publicly refuted the statement if he did and not run with it in a publication - even though there are some telling arguments for some of his claims. On the other hand the Twat in a Hats arguments do not hold much water either - I would love to talk to the Priest of Amun who informed him Nefertiti could not be buried in the valley of the kings. The door of KV62 argument I find baffling - the priest of Amun got the shrine panels in so if this doorway is too small where is the other door they got them in by? When was it decided and proven beyond doubt that the skeletal remains found in KV55 are Amenhotep lV/Akhenaten? I could continue picking holes but as with everything the Twat in a Hat has to say I get bored and mentally switch off so read it for yourselves.

No, Reeves published (a non-peer-reviewed) paper saying Nefertiti was behind the wall. This was not a spur of the moment comment to a journalist.

He is right in a way, you need to define "The Wall" though..Glyphdoctor wrote:No, Reeves published (a non-peer-reviewed) paper saying Nefertiti was behind the wall.

Re: twat in a hat fights back
Yes, I have read it and was only speculating whether a chance question sparked the speculatively theoretical publication. I have to say while compelling it is not convincing and really does not hint at her being buried there - to me it hints more to the tomb being started during her reign in Luxor. The cherubic/feminised art style of the 18th dynasty does make identification of gender difficult but the hints are there that the names have been changed to suit the present occupant. Surely a scan like they use on old master paintings could be used to look below the surface paint to view anything previously painted on the surface.................Glyphdoctor wrote:No, Reeves published (a non-peer-reviewed) paper saying Nefertiti was behind the wall. The main thing about the 'Prat in the Hat is, as he is no longer around the archeologists have more money in their pockets to spend and they will probably find much more stuff this season....

The way I feel about this is that It could equally the Tomb of King Smenkhkare. He surely would have all rights to be buried in the valley of the Kings. His reign was relatively short so he may not have been buried with little belongings which would explain the extra rooms. I strongly feel that this tomb could be for this co-ruler and not Nefertiti(as she was already found). Either way this would be the biggest Archaeological find ever for one
We will possibly be able to Identify the KV55 mummy as Akhenaten
We could possibly find out more about the period lost in the shadows lots of stuff.

No she has not. If you refer to Ms Fletcher's publication, there is no irrefutable proof that the mummy she claims could be Nefertiti is Nefertiti; it is purely conjecture on her part.Frater0082 wrote: Nefertiti(as she was already found).

There is no proof that she isn't either so your statement could very much go both ways.Kevininabydos wrote:No she has not. I think many of you are so going to have to apologize to Joann Fletcher in the near future because she was dead on about this identity of this mummy.
However Nefertiti could be identified as two persons princess Nebetah and Neferneferuaten-Nefertiti. The idea of Nefertiti being a sole ruler is stretched although she was a great queen she was a very devious and jealous woman. She despised Kiya. If your husband dubbed someone else his favorite you would've been ****** too.
All credit as Neferneferuaten-ankhetkeperure belongs her two daughters first Meritaten and Ankhesenpaaten who tried thier might to secure that the families grip was tight on Egypt.
It was Meritaten who wrote to the letter to the Hittite King. She did this because she knew how devious the priests was and what thier motives were. To have her married to aa subject such as Ay or Horemheb who's motives were clearly to eliminate the Aten cult would've spelled the end of the Amarna period. So she did what she felt was right to protect her family not self.
Yes thier was an hierarchy there but by the time of Akhenaten's death Tutankhamun would've six going on seven. Plus she was telling the truth she had no male heir because Tutankhamun is NOT her son. She again did think to protect her family.
Her actions were treacherous and cost her to be disgraced along with two of her other sisters. I believe that she wrote the letter during the seventy day mourning period of Akhenaten. This time must have been chaotic.
Thus this left Ankhesenpaaten the senior to take over as Neferneferuaten-ankheperure but for some strange reason she got disgraced too I think it likely had something to do with the priests wanting nothing more to do with the Aten culture and of course Tut would've been 10 years old by then old enough to do something I guess. Those girls survived him the reason why there is no mention of the is because Set I did not want any mention of the Aten being heard of so they abbreviated thier names to Ankh and Mery. The only princess that i know could've mentioned is Setepenre who served as the King's female messenger. The rest including myself was history.
People fame Nefertiti like she was all that. She was just as bad as Cleopatra IV (but not too bad). The honor is more deserving to her daughters who sacrificed all they had to keep the family thriving especially Meritaten and Ankhesenpaaten.
Oh did I ever mention that Meritaten kept a black treasure chest of belongings of relatives you would be do surprised what you find in Abydos such a mystifying place I miss going to Seti's temple in the morning and praying to the gods.

Trust me you would notice me without that. I want to be over there but im not sure if I should. True past me came from that period in time but really lived it for a small moment I can tell you more about the early Rammesides than the Amarna period.Bullet Magnet wrote:Aye Laddie, lets analize it down to the 9th degree, keep running in circles from the GOOD OLD US of Asshoes ?

If that were a reason to lock a thread KiA, there'd be little left to read on this forum.

No he(or she) shouldn't lock this thread. You shouldn't shun people because of what they believe or if they don't share the same beliefs as you do. To you I might be a bit off the wall, but 90% of what I've said isn't based off my personal experience, its simply from my perspective. Who are You? I don't even know you and I don't even know you so how can you judge me? Not fair dude not fair at all.
Allow me to introduce myself KevinAbydos,( i'm guessing your new here because I have not seen you around once) I am Terrell L. Frazier I am the oldest of seven children. My ultimate goal in life is to return to the kingdom of heaven and revamped my broken family even If I have to die trying i'm going to do it. My family has broken for a long time and I feel its time for a change. Yes, I am a believer of reincarnation and so is half of the world. Yes, I do believe that my family are the descendants of the Thutmosides and its my burning desire to be great just like them especially Amenhotep III. I dream to dominate and promote peace just like that great king. I love all people big or small, good or evil because the way I see it everyone is connected in some shape or form. I was born June 11, 1990 so that makes me a Gemini. I'm a sweet loving and caring person who don't look at people due to color, creed, or preference to me we are all human beings no matter. I can be sugary sweet but i'm also short patience i speak my mind when ever or where ever the hell I want. It took me a while to get to be where I am today because I was so broken and abused by the people whom i THOUGHT cared and loved me but I was so wrong. But I stand strong because I believe that i'm a better person that i was now and that I could prove to myself that love me too.
I've successfully obtained a associates degree in Business Adminstration and currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Business and I won't stop there. To be honest I don't know what to expect after I finish school but I do not want to end up back in poverty. I chose business because perhaps one day I can open up my own business perhaps an resort based on one of the palaces of Amenhotep III.
I've written two books and are working on more. Yes, my first two books were a flop and were about an alleged past life that I believed I live but that's fine, Its alright because its my story. Something happened to me whether it be fantasy or not it changed me for the better and I don't suppose fantasies ending with one not getting revenge for your family, you not getting the man that you loved back, and of course being impaled by a spear. My experience might not be as valid as Dorothy Eady but they were mine and i pray that you can grab some sense to respect that.
You see people like you I loath and have been dealing with my whole life. Telling me that i'm no good, that i'm crazy, but then again I love people like you because I so love to walk all over you with the power of kindness. You see your words don't phase me because you truly don't know who I am. But let me tell you this I hold not hostility towards you nothing but love.

Another thing my basis on the Younger Lady doesn't have nothing to do with me personally. I truly think its ones personal bias to dismiss the Younger Lady as Nefertiti I mean why would someone whose not supposed to even be related to her have the seam identical features get real sir, really? Its also studious to say that she isn't attested as his sister, I mean why wouldn't she need it. No other Amarna Royal, or pre-Amarna royal is known to have a slender neck such as Nefertiti and the Younger Lady.
Furthermore, I do not agree that Nefertiti is buried in this alleged tomb if someone was to be buried there I would think it would've been Smenkhare due to the small spacing. He had a very small co-regency which probably lasted a year or so and then vanished. He is not attested in the Amarna Tombs or Royal Wadi so he may have been buried elsewhere. The extra space is another prime example due to his little reign Smenkhare may have been buried with little items. In alternative, Nefertiti would've been buried with extensive items and this tomb would've been far grander than it is. Where is Smenkhare? if not KV55 in alternative where is Akhenaten? if not the KV55 mummy. No one speculated that this could be his secret tomb. Where is Meketaten of all people who should've been found it should be her which I think she is the mummy dubbed "I Amenhotep IV." Nothing na-dah the only mummy that i would proudly say that you have is the mummy of Ankhensenamun(there I said it) do i believe that she is the older No but I could be wrong(there I said it).
KevinAbydos it was nice to meet you and I hope you and I can get along one day, please be kind

You know what I feel as though that i'm overlooked here because I'm not a specialist in Egyptology and Archaeology(Lord forgive me for trying) or I came off wrong here. Again, I apologize if I offended anyone here really. Yes I came here to tell a story and also to here news possibly something related to the time of Seti or the late Amarna Period still nothing. Frankly, i'm a joke too all of you its all good though no hate
guess its time to move on then
my passion for this will never die though.
Remember this; Don't ever look down on some or a fool, because the very fool could mean well to your very life" In alternative you might one day be made a fool. Be Kind to even those who deserve it. Always be loving and caring even to your enemies don't ask me how but just follow the God's direction he already set the example its just that we have to follow it. bye!

I have not read your post beyond the first line as I have absolutely no interest in who or what you are Frater0082 and this is not the place to introduce yourself - there is a thread for that elsewhere. I am not "new here" as you put it. I just wish you would keep your "musing" drivel where Newcastle suggests..................

U ARE NEW TO ME and definitely someone i don't care about at the moment. And you know what your problem was revealed right in the first sentence of this quote. Again, You judged me without getting to know me. The first line really( you are such a jerk) try reading the entire book or biography before you judge someone.
