Europe ?

Luxor has both Christian and Moslem communities and the politics of the Middle East are equally diverse. Air your views on the situation.

Europe ?

Post by Who2 »

To my mind Europe has always been that place over the English Channel, the place that used to be many different countries but is now all just varying shades of grey.
Luckily, some clever chap decided we did not want our economy run from Brussels or Bonn. But now it's definitely a sinking ship, time we cut our ties and cast them adrift. They will still buy our stuff and we can still go over there on holiday.
40 years of a complete waste of time and ££££ billions spent, Why ?
I'm also thinking of starting a travel company to help radicalised travellers to go to Syria, take your grannies and your brats and get raped or murdered.
Oh! and how long has Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania ect been in Europe ? it'll be New Zealand next..
'rant over....
Ps: Maggie made us money, but she also built that bleeding tunnel what's the point of an Island if it's not ?

And Labour with Gordon Brown signed away all our rights, without a referendum!

Isn't it odd, that the 2 countries ( Greece and Italy ) responsible for the mess mankind is in today are now suffering...

What you say BM is perfectly correct of course, just quango's dictating to others. I honestly believe Europe was doomed anyway.

it is estimated that across Europe 70 % of the People do not want the EU.

Proof that Governments are ( and always have been in my book) out of control and are now no longer representing the people, but representing themselves because of greed and the corporations who lobby with brown envelopes.

Lies get found out, and that which does not belong, will eventually fail.. Like building a pyramid upside down.
yes you can do it, :dv ........ but eventually the thing WILL fall over...

I don't support political parties any more, though before he became the Leader of the Labour party I supported Neil Kinnock.

He, his wife and Mandelson were a shining example to me of the real reason so many politicians struggle for power.

I was surprised that as soon as Neil Kinnock was elected he did not meet the press and celebrate his win publicly with his supporters. Instead he disappeared for a few days - apparently writing a suitable announcement of his thanks. What?

The rest of course is history, without a decent pause to at least play politics in the UK he, his wife and later Mandelson, all of whom had been so vigorous and active on internal British politics suddenly jumped the EU gravy train and appeared in the UK only enough to get re-elected as a Euro MP whatever kind of animal that is. :x

I was always against joining the EU. We had a wonderful world wide and varied market for British goods and were supplied in return with what we wanted. It worked. The effect on our previous trading partners was often catastrophic. :xx

Time I stopped. Done is Done. :st

One of the arguments for joining the Common Market, as it was then, was that it would keep the peace in Europe after two devastating World Wars. If I thought that was the case then no amount of contributions from the UK would be too much to pay. Can anyone imagine Europe going to war again though, I think not.
The current British Prime Minister has promised an in/out referendum we will have to see which way it goes.

FEAR sells. (greek: φόβος πουλάει )

Governments are very good at creating fear... Let that sink in for a moment...

Indeed look at which countries have traditionally supplied the armaments for the strife around the world.

Sadly there is no profit in peace for them. :(

....And therein lies the answer... Profit... Why does Peace have to be profitable, what sort of people say we cant afford peace ?

Money forms the root of all we consider Evil, but it teaches us a lesson.. I hope,
The creation of false power, corruption, greed, even lack.. "There isn't enough money on the world to be able to do that" !!!

Its as I say, if we remove money from this planet, the possibilities for mankind and this planet and its "hidden resources and energy" are exponential.

People cant imagine a world without money, but it will happen one day.

If I lend someone I know 20 quid, and the next time I see them, I get my 20 quid back, all well and good.
What I dont expect is that 20 quid to be repaid and another 2 quid in "interest". I didn't do the act of kindness for money...

Even removing INTEREST or PROFIT would be a start. :up Think of J.C and the money lenders in the temple...

When I had my smallholding I did a huge amount of gentle bartering. When I say gentle, there was virtually no bargaining, which is a completely different beast.

It came about because I wanted to return a kindness and snowballed from there. I went to the market every week and bought in bulk which was shared. Sometimes there were bigger deals for example I swapped a cow for the training and sale of one horse, and a large freezer for another. Both of us were very happy with the result. 8)
