Yesterday heard the call and had time to 'waylay said seller of toomb, bought 5 kilos for £3 quid, a steal I gave half to 'her next door and made fresh garlic soup to mix in with last weeks fish soup.
So! now got the old smoker out 'hickory chips from fridge and peeling fresh young huge bulbs of Garlic.
The rest are hanging up in the kitchen yard and the place smells delicious.Plus it wards off the 'evil-eye.
Ive smoked these bulbs for 2 hours using hickory chips, the green garlic leaves and some cafhor, I first oiled then added sea salt and smoked paprika.
You can eat them raw, make smoked garlic butter to top your steaks, pickle them in white wine, confit them in butter, your minds the limit.
