Watched an interesting news item on the BBC this morning talking about how many Americans are getting high and or depressed on opiate based painkillers. There seems to be a lot of it about lately.

Well, I certainly hope you did not get too high last night Dusak, that is of course, if you did manage to find some one to give you a headache tablet. .

Getting back to the programme itself, I and a group of Egyptology friends watched it and thought it was rubbish!

But back on topic I thought so too even though most of it was nothing more than old bits of data. I really thought that the Egyptologists basically over exploiting themselves it was really annoying to watch but the thing that annoyed me the most is how they reconstructed Tutankhamun's body and face. For the most part his teeth were wrong it never protruded out.

Hell I have buck teeth now and it does not stick out.

True thier were feminine aspects on Akhenaten and his sons but it made them beautiful not hideous. They ahould leave Tutankhamun alone im tired of them harrassing his remains but I have a feeling that th oily s is not the end of the harrassing.

Good for Dr. Zink. It's not like Zahi ever wore gloves when he handled mummies himself, so he was always touching mummies. Of course, Zink co-authored an article or two with Zahi a few years back and had full access to all the data. Of course, we won't get into the details of how the research was carried out.

It appears the only crime that Zink has committed now was to appear in a tv special that Zahi himself didn't get to appear in.

Today Zahi was referred by the judge, as part of his judgment issued on the Khufu cartouche case, to the prosecutor for investigation for destroying public property and administrative corruption.

I heard this afternoon, via a Vodaphone text message, that he is in gaol on this charge. I cant find anything in the press to back this up.

But the shrieks of approval among my friends suggest that this is a good thing.

He has already issued his typically disingenuous denial, but the denial is about the case of the Germans, while his referral certainly has nothing to do with that case as of course he wasn't involved, and probably stems from other related evidence introduced during the trial by the defense that pertains to his time as head of the SCA.
