Justin Bieber to perform in Egypt
International Canadian pop musician, songwriter and actor Justin Bieber will make his first trip to Egypt on 25 April, when he will perform at Porto Cairo Mall in the eastern district of New Cairo.
According to the public relations and communications spokesperson at Amer Group, the company running Porto Cairo Mall, the details regarding ticket prices and availability have not yet been decided.
The 19-year-old pop star first rose to fame in 2008, when he signed a joint record deal with Island Records and RBMG, a new label started by singer and producer Usher and Scooter Braun. Bieber had a major breakthrough in 2011, winning seven American Music Awards and various MTV awards as well being nominated for two Grammies, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Named one of Forbes' most powerful celebrities of 2012, Bieber is also one of the most-followed young music icons in the world, with almost 50 million Twitter followers and and a regular presence in celebrity news for his turbulent life that has seen him, most recently, arrested for drunk driving in Miami and fighting with paparazzi photographers in London. His on-off relationship with American singer and actress Selena Gomez has also sparked a media frenzy.
Bieber has shown interest in Egypt's ongoing revolution, tweeting about the 2011 uprising.
In May 2013, Bieber gave a concert in Dubai, UAE.
More information and details regarding tickets for his April performance will follow.

Re: Justin Bieber to perform in Egypt
Justin Beiber may have a terrific voice but he is a troubled youth. Mega anger outbursts, egg throwing, speeding cars and the list goes on and on and on......I'd say the chances of Justin having some sort of 'news worthy incident' outside his concert are pretty good.

Anyone remember the ill-fated Akon concert in Cairo? What a disaster!

My reaction last night was that I believe Egypt has enough problems without bringing in another.
My opinion has not changed.

I would sooner see Il Divo performing at one of Luxor's Temples, I have no time for spoiled brats, with a single non functional brain cell.

This 'kid' needs a real comeuppance and desperately needs to be held personally accountable for his actions (which are very much out of control.)

To be fair, he's very good but what he does will never replace music!

Recently, I had to go to Tesco and buy a 1 Direction cake for my son's birthday. I felt unclean. Where is the cake for us normal people with 'Simon Cowell Is A ****' icing?
