The original version of this song from 1969. It was polished a bit more for the ( Goodbye ) Yellow Brick Road album.. here..

There's a time for everyone, if they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.

Saw him last night on BBC in a very early Old Grey Whistle Test program.

Did you know Bullet, he would often play the old piano on the roof of Derry & Toms on Kensington High Street, for free when it became Beba back in the early 70's.

I didn't know that A-Four.. It helps me understand his song "Bitter Fingers" now on the Captain fantastic album...

I was a huge Elton John fan since about 1969, I was 7 back then. His early works were masterpieces. Your Song, Daniel, Tiny Dancer, Skyline Pigeon, The Greatest Discover, oh, the list is endless.
I have Bernie Taupin's book, "The one who writes the words", and the "Butterfly Ball" book, since Alan Aldridge had a hand in the illustrations.
Bernie's words are a true inspiration..

Just before Christmas, I was up at my friend's Reptile and Raptor sanctuary, I decided to call on him, take him into Ruthin for a decent fry up, brew and a natter.
anyway, that didnt happen, as one of his other friends turned up, Greg was his name.
He and I got on like a house on fire, and we exchanged email address's so we could keep in touch.

My mate said, "You know who he is don't you" ?

"Yes, I said Greg Dwight, we did make the introductions without your help, you grumpy dwarf"...

"Yeah, but have you twigged the surname ? .. He's Elton John's half brother" !

I wasn't expecting that... :cg
