Earthquake

Post by Glyphdoctor »

Did you feel it? Long long one.

PS-It was exactly 21 years and 4 minutes after the big one that struck in 1992.

Living in an earthquake zone I do feel them. Feels like nothing on earth when the bigger ones strike and the earth actually ripples and sways and you can hear all the cracks and moans and groans coming from deep below.

This one swayed probably for 40 seconds which is pretty lengthy, but it wasn't anything like the Loma Prieta earthquake. I watched the walls bend at 45 degree angles during that one.

Forty seconds is a pretty darn good shake! At the time seems like forever.......getting after shocks?

I read about it being felt in Cairo even though the epicentre was off Crete. It was approx 6.4 magnitude.
