Once a world class destination, Luxor is now a ghost town

The Syrian kids here are, as I've pointed out previously, a nuisance, or used to be. They seemed to have quietened down a lot of late. I was talking to my Egyptian neighbour a couple of days ago and he made the remark that they [the adults] are becoming a problem and are not wanted, but wouldn't elaborate on the subject. I personally haven't heard anything. Perhaps the locals are getting a little of their own medicine by being pestered for money on the streets.
