In the park alone on a seat
Flask in hand, no shoes on feet
The face is aged, the clothes are tattered
The hair is long the beard is matted
One step at a time to the next park seat
He sits himself down, but no one does he meet
His face is resting in hands that feel sound
A tear from his face falls to the ground
Thinking of times when life was so good
To ease his mind while carving at wood.
The shadows grow longer, he rises with pain
To try and find shelter, from the cold and rain.
The dark has passed, the rain has cleared
The warmth of the sun, through the clouds has appeared
Everywhere in the park seems to bask in sun
People are seen having great fun.
But under a tree a shadow is cast
A familiar figure laid in the grass
Not a sound does he make, no movement when called
A tragic end but no ones appalled
So think of yourselves and how you may end
Then think of others and try and defend
The honour of others that may need aid
From a life of greed, created and self made.
How will it end

Pass the razor blades, I have run the bath in preparation...
any chance of something more positive Choccy ? The talent is certainly there, it just needs a 180 degree direction...

There's a time for everyone, if they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.

Chocolate Eclair, who is the author of that poem please? It's always helpful, and only fair to the author - even if it is the great Anon - to credit them.

it is what you do with what happens to you.
