Shafiq's Campaign to announce 'victory'in a press conference

Post by DJKeefy »

A Press conference will be held by Shafiq's campaign on Tuesday rejecting reports of Mursi's victory in Egypt's presidential race.

Ahmed Shafiq's campaign will be holding a press conference shortly to dismiss 'lies' about Mursi winning, confirming their candidate's victory.

"The Egyptian public will know the truth, Shafiq is leading the race not Mursi," said Ahmed Sarhan spokesman of shafiq's campaign. Sarhan later stressed that "no one is president till Thursday."

Shafiq's campaign has claimed their candidate winning with earlier on Monday after all elections violations have been verified from their side. The campaign claims that Shafiq is winning with at least 200,000 votes.

A clashing statement has been made by Mursi's campaign where their tallies for turnout and results indicate Mursi's success.

The presidential runoffs have witnessed a tight competition between Ahmed Shafiq and his rival, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Mursi, while indications so far put Mursi in the lead - 51.85% to 48.10%.
