Whats your favourite and least favourite Egyptian dish/food
My favourite is meat/potato Tajine.
My least favourite even though I love the smell of garlic is: Molokheyya.

I quite like Mahalabaya (sp?) as a dessert. Fayrouz does it for about LE5. As a starter, the Baba Ghanoush (aubergine dip) at Pharaohs Hotel in Habu City is good. They add a decent chilli kick.
Harder to think of a good main course, although the fish at Zamzam comes close. The steaks I have had (mainly at Fayrouz) have been varied. With most restaurant food it varies from day to day depending on the quality of ingredients, which chef/cook is on duty, and how busy they are.

worst I have tried is that salt fish cheese dish they have in spring and not at all keen on fuul but I love mollokhiya! Absolutely delicious and if made well its not snotty at all. Am quite partial to Okra and the deep fried aubergine is delicious. For breakfast can't beat a good tamiyya (falafel). Maybe I have strange tastes!! I guess my favourite is lamb kebab on a bed of rocket!
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Old Ass pips okra in tomato sauce in my hate list. Followed by all those innards and boney bits - like Kawera and qalawi.
Fave dish?? Hmmmmmm. This week it would be Kishk, alternatively known as quessek. It sounds nasty but is like blamangey yoghurt chicken flavoured 'stuff' ....with burnt onions on top.

My favourite - Crispy chicken in orange sauce baguette from Snacktime, least favourite - anything from MacDonalds!
And before I get any criticism,as the stuff making them up is Egyptian sourced, it's therefore Egyptian food!

I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!
