Nordic walking

Post by jewel »

Well it's a lovely bright cold morning, Im off Nordic walking later. If you've not heard of it it's great......a kind of cross country skiing with poles and a great all over workout, I've taken it up as I found running was going for my knees, so thought I'd have a change, and with this the poles help take a lot of the strain.
Does any one else take part in this activity?

I've heard of polish plumbers, but never polish skiers taking the strain of carrying people around in the snow!
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

Not ski poles, but I have always walked with poles in all my walking/climbing.
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

I had trekking poles before I took up Nordic walking lisak but now have the special Nordic poles with clip on wrist bands, they are really amazing and double the benefit of walking but halve the effort involved. I am now so addicted I am doing it every chance I get.....

Polish skiers LIL.....haha!
