The Beauty of a Flutterby Butterfly

Post by LovelyLadyLux »

Since I'm on a roll and the L4U cyber photo god is smiling on me I'm sharing for what I'm worth!!! :):):):):):)

I love butterflies and chased this one all over Trinidad trying to get a decent photo. Not sure what kind of butterfly this is - am thinking a Monarch but not sure.

Poor thing no wonder it needed a rest

Great photo, well worth your effort, we were watching some very similar coloured butterflies in Aswan a couple of days ago but we didn't get any photo's

Good one Fablux! ;) I did chase it all over! ;) I definitely know very little about types of butterflies but did find this one quite pretty.

I also got a photo of this moth. He was sitting closed winged on a wall corner. Had an interesting pattern to the wings.

Well I have it on very good and knowledgeable authority that my first butterfly photo is definitely not a Monarch and is probably a 'Scarlett Peacock' or a variant of this. Thanks muchly for the info!! And when I looked at a photo of a Monarch you can see that this is definitely NOT one of those....

Thanks too to whomever fixed my moth photo! ;)

I have dug out a few of my "flutterby" photos I have taken over the years - I do have many more. Mainly British butterflies but a little blue one I took in Greece.
They love our buddleia bushes. :D
