I have heard that several ladies, in a similar position, meet up at hotel pools. The Lotus Hotel and the New Pola have been mentioned on the East Bank, and the Gezira Garden Hotel on the West. I'm not sure if they still do, or on which days, sorry. Good luck.

Hello & welcome.
I don't know whether you are East or West Bank but on the West Bank a group of ex pats normally meet on a Saturday evening at the Fayrouz Hotel, I'm sure you would be welcome, otherwise there are events on the East Bank at the Regal Lounge sometimes.

Merhaba! Always nice to have a new "face" around these parts. What an interesting time you must be having! A steep learning curve, methinks. Best wishes with that. ;) :up

OH!!! See Jags getting a mention, best cars ever made in Britain, used by gangsters all over the place and a very good symbol of British Car manufacturing. But there again I would be biased wouldn't I   Give me the V12 anyday and the XJS Convertible, thats the only thing I miss in Luxor, but there again i would not get it over the mountainous speed restrictors they build here on a daily basis. Mine was the 6.0L Monaco. Top speed limited to 152 MPH. I still drool at photo's of it, but I have changed my life to a more sedate and simple form. Also at one time had the 4.0L Supercharged XJ LWB a car and a half. Never been a car made that excites me more than the JAG.

the xjs convt is one of the bast cars, learnt to drive in truimp stag in london was fun.The stag was a great looking car designed was brillant apart from the engine always over heated in traffic jams so we would end up coming home in style on an AA truck.
