Sema – Tawy, the unification of the two lands by Dr Bruno Sandkühler.
One of the most prominent symbols of Ancient Egyptian culture is the Sema-Tawy, the “Uniting of the two lands” Shown in the image of the human lung, with two gods knotting Papyrus and Lotus around the trachea as a middle axis. The two lands designing Upper & Lower Egypt, the gods are thus uniting the different parts of the Kingdom – the narrow Upper Nile valley, and the Delta.
Ever and ever again, the ancient texts tell us that the two lands must be united in order to permit the prospering of the country. Every king, at his ascension to the throne, performs the ritual of the unification to guarantee the continuation of the kingdom and the welfare of his people.

Hopefully his laptop is sorted now!
