From the crookedness and crime I have seen surrounding modern day Egyptology, I would not dismiss this out of hand without first seeing the evidence. Some of the things that go on you simply can't make up...

Certainly, Glyph! As an aside, I was watching Nile TV yesterday afternoon - there was a documentary about the examination of Tutankhamen's mummy, with Zahi (of course) playing a major part! So, I'm wondering if there are moves ahead to rehabilitate him.
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

Certainly an old show. There were two other reruns of old Egyptology programs on NatGeo Abu Dhabi a few nights ago, one of which featured Zahi.

'Howard Carter once pointed at me and shouted "What the f....'s He! doing here ? "He wrote that story about the Mummies Curse....

And there was Richard Adamson as well, responsible for the deaths of 4 people and then sent to work for Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings secretly..
