Not recommended if your in a wheelchair;

I used to have a devon longhouse outside 'Lyime in Yawl.
Now, it's a funny place 'lyme lots of kids fighting at night,'hanging-out, they also show French Lfts' Woman every Saturday night. hmm connections...
But, The Cobb was built long before electric wheelchairs, sort of wooden-clog days, Sad, but pretty stupid thinking, in my book. Anyhow, Watch the fim it's great, I'm in it..........8)

I was IMDB'ing a bit of trivia and came up with this:
The Cobb is the old harbor wall at Lyme Regis where we see "that scene" as Sarah / Anna stands on the harbor wall as the waves crash around her. It was deemed too dangerous for Meryl to get up onto the Cobb while the waves were crashing. So any distance shots actually have one of the art directors standing in for her. The close ups were done in the safety of the studio..........8)

Surely, factually, the young woman's death had nothing to do with any risk in going out on the Cob? The accident happened on the pier, at a cruise boat boarding point.

Post by Maakari » Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:34 pm

Lovely pictures! I am a Dorset dumpling and I love my county!,, but,as a lot of us Dumplings do, I do not go to all our wonderful places, you know, work,life,families, so it is only when other people talk about Dorset that I Think,"oh must go there again!"
I Love Lyme Regis, cob an' all. would love to live there, but could'nt afford a garden shed there!
