Army and police dispersed six protests on Wednesday across four provinces that blocked roads, arresting 19 for instigating highway and railroad blockages.
In Minya, security arrested six people from the village of Tawfiqiya for instigating dozens of protesters to block the Cairo-Aswan road in a demonstration against power outages.
In the same governorate, 100 people from the village of Damaris blocked the railroad, also due to power cuts. Security authorities controlled the demonstration and electricity was restored in coordination with local officials. Six were detained for spurring the protests.
In Alexandria, Amreya residents blocked a main road and set fire to car tires to demand the installation of speed bumps and a pedestrian bridge to curb frequent accidents. Meanwhile, 400 workers from the Alexandria Spinning and Weaving Company demonstrated to demand the removal of the board chairman and an increase to incentives. Seven workers were arrested.
In Beheira, 40 citizens from the village of Atfa protested water shortages in front of the main water station. Some protesters assaulted station workers.
In Luxor, 250 temporary workers at the Department of Education demonstrated outside the governorate headquarters, closing its main gate and cutting off electricity from the building. Five were detained and later released.

Re: Protesters arrested across Egypt for blocking roads
I was told that they were some protests on Tuesday in Luxor, this article was posted on Wednesday 13:10, so maybe the other protests in the article were on Wednesday.

Could be Keefy, either that or we were in the wrong area, TV Street region, but normally we have heard noises when there have been protests. Mary at the Fortune Cookie was close to banning us at one point, every time we went in there was 1 in the area!
