Saying as MT is about to embark on onother great adventure down under I thought it only fair to familiarise him with some great Australian poetry. This one is by 'Banjo' Patterson and he is reciting the story of a thoroughbred horse that escapes and tries to join the wild herds in the mountains and all the bush riders attempt to recapture him to claim the reward. All the famous bush riders are gathered, but an unknown horseman is allowed to join the group. The best version is read by a guy called Fred Hollows (now deceased) but alas I cannot find a copy so this will have to do. It is called 'The man from Snowy River' so sit back and close your eyes and listen to the words and if you MT my friend take the time and effort to learn it, then I know you will be popular in your new home when you recite it for your friends.
Just for MT
