A few months ago I read this book: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand
It was based on the true story of Louie Zamerini who started out as a juvenile delinquent, turned into an Olympic runner and did a stint in the Army during the War. It was a can't put it down book and I just saw on TV that it has now been turned into a movie.
If the movie is anything like the book it will be terrific. Just an FYI to all if you're looking for a good read over the holidays and/or if you're looking for a good movie to see.
