Thank You.

I have been building a library for 6 years now here in Thebes. My mother had a library she bought them by the yard at auctions but, my father did them justice and built her a teak shelved library.
When I went away on my 'holidays to write a book,'arf-arf, I had amongst my possession's a first edition of the Mabinogion borrowed from the bible library of Sir Ralph Bruce Verney, 5th Bt., and worth a 'few bob believe me.
Anyhow the book was returned, I was only studying it not flogging it, he had far more valuable items, they were 'skint down to their last million. 'I was just trying to help out our gentry..and his daughter lady Francesca
Anyhow having first gained entrance to Hill Place aged 7 through reading Ulysses to the head, I've always read anything and everything, always have done and always will, and I read loads of books you lot give me, I don't give books away, I'm building a library remember!
So just saying thanks, to all those authors I normally never would have encountered, So you know who you are! keep them coming, it's gonna be a big library...oneday!....
Ps: Like that Martina Cole 50 + essex bird but a good writer. but a bad taste in characters she's adopted our very own Alabama 3,
''life's weird or what ?

My wife quite likes Marina's work, she has read many of her books.

I have for your collection, a small book written back in 1961 about Ancient Waterways, but at the moment I cant find it, as it is not where I last left it.
Also a Nat' Geo' magazine from November 1957 which you may find interesting.. :up

Of course, we have the Insha-Allah Factor to take into consideration.. :tk

Are you up for Scottish authors to enhance your library?
Or would you rather do without?

There's couple in particular I think you would enjoy.Christopher Brookmyre and Meg Henderson.I've already abandoned couple of their novels in Luxor hotel.

But,willing to bring copies and read again...if I could have guarantee they'll be appreciated!

There's also copy of "Pocket History of Scotland"if you're interested!

This is "bona fide"offer Who2.Maybe it will enhance your library! If so,I'll leave them with "Bombay"in October. That way,we don't need to meet and argue!

Up to you, ball's in your court!

Maybe, but it's to-do with personnel connections and 500 miles isn't guaranteed to make pisshead gingernuts to immediately burst into tears....

Zooropa, I don't think it's ever a case of you being done with Egypt - more like when Egypt has done with you!
