Anyway, going along the lines of "well, Jojo knows her stuff when it comes to things like this...", I had a root through my kitchen drawer for something similar to a cheese knife ...... I needed something sharper. Off to the bathroom I went and landed on one of my husband's razors.... That didn't work either,.....
[face=Comic Sans MS] :urm: Has husband tried to use said razor again yet? ;))

Don't think I want to be around when he finds out. :worry: [/face]

:oo

A vegetable scraper and a razor!!!! OWWWW!! (ps scissors don't work - I tried! )

Very soon there's going to be a whole army of foreign women marching round sporting plastic bags on their feet (Elastic bands at the top! Now why didn't I think of that - I used a stapler!!....I mean I stapled the bag - not the bag to my leg!!!!) I've mentioned all your recipes (with the exception of the cheese knife!) down the Alex grapevine!

[face=Comic Sans MS]Having once witnessed a man explode at his wife because she used his razor to do under her arms, I was rather fearful of how any man would react if his razor was used to deal with 'summer foot'! Not keeping one myself - a man that is, not a razor - I thankfully have not been able to put it to the test. ;)  [/face]

I use a cheese knife and slice the dead skin off my heels otherwise they start to crack and no amount of moisturiser will help then.

Oh yuck Jojo - remind me not to have cheese and biccies at your house

I see I've started a new trend in Egypt, plastic bags and oil!
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

I always buy cream called Panthenol for my heels from pharmacy. It's only 2.50LE and really good for elbows and hands too. Best cream for heels from pharmacy is called carbamed or something like that. My SIL just stole the last tube I had so I have to rely on my fading memory. Also I have did buy a "heel stone" from souk. Gets feet really clean and rid of dry skin when used regularly.
I use cling film and socks instead of backs.
