[face=Comic Sans MS] Seriously, this is as though someone has taken some of my hair from the left hand side and dipped the ends in ink.

I've always had a streak of hair in the front on the right which has been much lighter than the rest ( 'the mallen streak' anyone remember that book/tv prog :roll: ) but that is not affected and the colouration is on the ends not the root area.[/face]

Sorry for a silly question: have you tried washing it? I mean does the colour fade or transfer or wash out slightly? If it doesn't it seems to be more of an "ingrown" thing.... Very peculiar!!!! Cut it off and take to a lab! :D

[face=Comic Sans MS]SCE - Not a silly question at all. Infact no, I haven't.

I have just been trying to take a photo of it though! :roll: Oh dear, talk about 'they did it with mirrors'. There am I perched on my bed digital camera in one hand and mirror in the other trying to see through the screen at the back what the pic is going to look like. After a few attempts I decide the flash gives it too much light, I even try holding a sheet of A4 white paper against my cheek to see if will help show up the contrast. Then I decide that todays earings are giving too much colour so try to hide the left one under my hair. Take a few snaps and decide I'll come back to the computer to download the pictures.

Well, I stopped on my way to the office to put some kitchen rubbish into bags and then threw it into the very empty dustbin. Go back inside and feel a bit 'lopsided' - left earring missing. Now these are not small delicate little studs today but fairly large, dangly, weighty turquise coloured stoned earrings on wire loops. I have now searched every inch of my bedroom and kitchen and also been outside, fished the bag out of the dustbin, at great danger of falling in I might add, searched through the manky vegetable bits and chicken carcass (YUK!) and still no earring to be found. :(

So now I'm sat here at the computer in my office having left my camera back in my flat on the bed. :x

Remember the post in General Rants about Monday being officailly the most depressing day of the week? Did it say day or week, because trust me this one is just going from bad to worse! :) :( :cry: :cry: [/face]

Oh you poor thing :cry:
Hair is dead, so if it is only at the end surely it must have an external cause otherwise you would have seen it growing out from the roots wouldn't you :?

[face=Comic Sans MS]I agree Phran, and also if it had started from the roots I'd have been straight round to the GP quick smart. I just can't fathom what it is that has caused it because I haven't used or worn anything different to normal.

Another one of lifes mysteries. :roll: [/face]

Fran's right if it is on the end then something has dripped on it or you rested you head against something blue. Given the color, sounds like ball point pen ink, printer's ink or artist's ink.

Yep Hepzi we need a photo to assess the situation!

You didn't have a leaky blue biro behind you ear the other day did you?

[face=Comic Sans MS]No, thought of that one too but a) it's not something I tend to do and b) on the rare occasion I do do it I use the right ear. :roll:

Thanks Tobyjug. :) [/face]

[face=Comic Sans MS]No, and I only wore the turquoise blue ones after my hair changed colour, recently I've been wearing silver or gold stud style earrings.[/face]

Oh dear, poor Hepzi.... why don't you be really radical and add a few more colours?? It'll keep your students amused!
