The same petition says that a fully soaked tampon may also cause endometriosis BUT the FDA found only one single case report where a menstrual cup may possibly be a cause (but not proven).

Didn't they stop selling the winged jobs in the UK - I could never find them.
(PS the petition was based on theoretical claims not actual research or case studies).

Re: Menstrual cups
Don't know why everyone seems to thinks they're nasty, i mean, they're not any nastier then tampons or pads. I've used it for 5 years now, ordered it from the UK because its cheaper than sweden (as with much else) and all i can say is that i wish i'd found them before. Nothing uncomfortable and no risk of getting TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) as with tampons. Saves money, good for the environment...really the only negative thing about them is that you may have to use a pad for protection on really heavy days if you're out for a long time.

Re: Menstrual cups
This thread is definitely an oldie.......haven't seen the names of many of the posters on this thread recently at all....but the subject matter is definitely a discussion!

Yeah - I clicked on it and started to read and learned more than I ever wanted to know! BUT it was interesting to see all the different Avatars and names flash from the past that are no longer posting on here and of some (PR Chick) who have even passed on.

Re: Menstrual cups
I'm not going to bother reading the start to the end of this post as I still have nightmares as to what this bodily function can do, not only to the female, but the innocent bystander, me. Why would they need to fill a cup full? And is to be bow-legged an advantage?

I may be taking a stab in the dark here, figuratively speaking, but how can we appreciate something that can kill us men at any given moment in any given month. Its like a Mayfly taking flight for the first time, enjoying the sensation and deciding that that would be a good time to plan its future.LovelyLadyLux wrote:Am not sure men ever get the FULL appreciation of topics such as these.
