Nine Pins...

Post by Who2 »

I'm knocking them down like 9 pins..
Yesterday I serviced my compressor, and now it's working all over the house..
'blowin dem cobwebs away'...
I'll be spray varnishing most wood things this coming week, door, chairs, tables, garden pots, window frames, ect..
I'm till servicing the 'water misting system, it's a long job many nozzles, much limescale..

But as summer fast approaches time to get the jacuzzi working, and you can't have a jak without bubbles..qed.

Also time to swing and do a bit of gardening as I visited the new plant center up near Menon.
One can't have enough greenery, I reckon...

So next week, It's time to get the Carrier AC serviced it's not been used in 6 years.
It pays to get the best, when one can afford it...

Must admit I'm very impressed with Souk.com.... 8)

Nice to see you getting back into the swing of things and getting the old Hacianda back into shape and ready for what looks like a hot summer.

I was away from Luxor for 12 years, if I recall correctly, you were away for almost 5 years, and you must have seen a lot of changes too. ?

On the bright side, Luxor does seem to be thriving, and may even return to the pre Hapshetsut days, with regards to visitor numbers. ?

Even though, many of those visitors are not long term like they used to be, but trade is trade.

I noticed how the overall dynamic of Luxor had changed, and for Luxors sake, mostly for the better
but there are still pockets of the older days we all knew, and can still be found wandering away from the main tourist places. And of course those old temples and the desert will never change.

As regards to getting stuff done,
These days, I make lists. Keep the list handy in the kitchen so I can keep my eye on it.

If I have 6 items on said list and get past the first 3, then I get the motivation to complete the list.

Its been easier those last few weeks, what with the lovely weather we had, opening my eyes in the morning as seeing a blue sky and sunlight gives me more motivation to get my arse out of bed.
That and the fact i have to go into my office next door to start work.
But on those nice sunny mornings,
I get up and sit on my back door step with a nice hot coffee and a ciggie, look up at the sky and listen to the birds, and that makes me happy.

Now you are back in Luxor, I can imagine that luxury is something you don't take for granted dear Doctor.
Don't look back. That's not the direction you are travelling towards.
