Fatal Accident

Post by Major Thom »

I heard that 3 young people were killed tragically in a Luxor traffic accident 2 days ago. Was this on the West Bank or in the City?

Why this [non specific] particular accident?

Three young men were tragically killed in a car accident near Esba here on West Bank. They were in the early twenties, I think they were all from Esba.

It wasn't tragic if your driving like a maniac without lights and drive into the canal,
and the number might now be 4. 3 from Ezba 1 from Rosca or so the jungle drums say... 8)
Ps: Flame Trees now car crashes all reported from Southern Cyprus, what's the world coming to ?

They were five in the car. Very young men. It is a tragic loss to families and many, many friends around here.

Thanks Bennu, I asked because I have been trying to contact friends in my old village, and was starting to worry if any may have been involved. I got through and the victims were no one I knew.

If you ask a driver why he doesn't use his headlights, the answer is usually to conserve the battery, duh!
Driving is dangerous at the best of times let alone with the idiots around here... 8)

Ask Keefy about that, when he lived on this side, he was stopped by the police because he had his headlights on, ordered to turn them off. Apparently the headlights interfered with their ability to read his number plate.

Driving around Welsh mountain roads once,
my old man skidded to a halt right in front of a large hole in the road with two guys
in the hole with shovels and an old 'copper leaning over watching them.
He sauntered up and with a thick twat Welsh accent said to Dad "Why don't you use a bit o common ?

My old man was f****fuming there were No warning signs posted anywhere,
he nearly jumped out and belted him...
I was 'creased up in fits....
My old man never swore except once when he hit me and broke his hand, he said "sh*t.
My retort: "God punishes! as I legged it...lol... 8)
