Luxor General Hospital

Post by Winged Isis »

From Luxor News Live:

A delegation from the medical team of the Luxor General Hospital was sent today to the Luxor Doctors Association to present the following
It has come to our attention that a decision has been made to transform the Luxor General hospital into a university hospital, and doctors wonder what is the point of establishing a university hospital and shutting down the general hospital that provides medical service to According to the medical team, the conversion of the Luxor General hospital to college would not be in the public interest for

First
It is best to build a university hospital with specifications that allow it to provide health and educational service to university hospitals in terms of space, number of family, number of operating rooms and the number of intensive care beds so that citizens provide a distinct medical service that will spare patients from Assiut University
As the public hospital continues to perform the medical service, as the general hospital's performance rates testify that it provides a distinct medical service, it is better to create a new hospital dedicated to the university established by the budget of

Second.
This decision will not make it a free public hospital, since the decision to customize the land on which the hospital is being held is a stop for a free hospital to serve citizens free
University hospitals have a paid special regulation, so there will be no free hospital in the shortest, especially since the international hospital follows the secretariat of the ministry of health, which is also controlled by a financial regulation
Third
University hospitals are teaching and training medical school students on patients in the hospital, which is medically not inconsistent, but there are alternatives to people.
Fourth
The public hospital provides an emergency service to approximately 2000 patients per day, and in the event that it is transferred to a university hospital, this service will be lost since university hospitals are referral hospitals, which are converted into medical cases and do not provide

Based on the opinion of the medical team at the Luxor General Hospital, the Luxor Doctors Association decided to hold an emergency public assembly for Luxor Doctors on Friday, 25/5 at 1 noon, and the association of pharmacists, Dental Association and nursing association will be invited to The Doctor's guild.
A Photo of the statement will be sent to
Mr. Prime Minister
Mr. Dr. Governor Luxor
Mr. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khalil Amari, chairman of the health committee of the house of representatives and vice
Mr. Dr. Undersecretary of health, shorter.
Mr. Professor Dr. Vice President of the university of South Valley for Luxor Branch
Gentlemen of the general guild of doctors.
The Union calls upon the members of the general assembly of doctors, pharmacists, dentists, nursing and physical treatment to attend the union headquarters to make the right decisions for the medical team and for the benefit of our dear, shorter children.

All levity aside, it looks like Luxor's doctors are not taking this move lying down....unlike their patients.

Whoever is in charge will make short shrift of the meeting if the answers that are wanted are not voiced.

What alway's amuses me, is zooming up Matashfa st, (newly asphalted) no bumps, without actually hitting anybody it's a mad-house outside,
but the Hospital is only a crawl away! 'Iv'e always thought,
I mean they have more ambulances there than Maidstone's Ambulance Service.
I like the 'moose seller, at the 'anything goes roundabout at the top,
He's been there years when it was just a mud track..... 8)
Sunshine Orphanage started opposite it, I alway's looked down and loved it's Helicopter H landing zone, "just in case!
Ps: And what about those two River Nile fully kitted out tasty water Ambulances ? What a great job ?
they just need a bit of organisation and use!
Check them out, they can really shift and look great fun...

Watch it Dr, you will be accused of making the forum into a Luxor/Cyprus/London Forum.  There was talk of this at the General Hospital before we left. For Free!!! I doubt it, and even if it was there would be a backsheesh tin on the way out covered by a security camera to see who puts in and who does not...  Something for nothing in Luxor? Not on your life!!

:tk Happiness is free, as is fresh air, conversations, free choice and a host of other things here in Luxor if I felt like thinking about it. But one thing that is not free and never has been nor ever will be, is respect.

Good on them for accepting responsibility and standing up as a citizen can and in doing it in an organized and rational way. There clear complaints/objectives will shock a bureaucracy that does business in 'fuzzy' meetings that lack only clarity.

Unfortunately the government is likely to tell itself - if we respond positively to this protest then millions will start demanding things. What could be worse than the citizens publically complaining and asking for solutions. That would ruin 70 years of perfect military Junta rule. In terms of virility it might force powerful people to bend to the public will rather than just the secret will of the rich or the army.

Lets hope they are not rounded up for the generic charges - spreading false news, criticizing the army, criticizing a public official or membership of the brotherhood. (its amazing - al Ahram spreads false news every day but is never charged).

I suspect dwarfism or stunted growth is widespread in poorer Egypt - there is no poorer part of Egypt than Upper Egypt. Poor nutrition will stunt and reduce IQ and, maybe, lead to personality defects/anti-social behavior. Its widespread in places like North Korea.

In Egypt's case I've done some reading of UN documents and science papers. Malnutrition is a serious problem which is ignored by the government and western visitors alike. Various government and UN programs over the decades have been about as effective as a cynic would think. Oddly even in poor areas the over reliance on bread/carbohydrates leads to undernourishment in important vitamins etc but puts on weight leading to heart and maybe diabetes problems (can't completely recall this issue). Therefore there is malnutrition in different forms in thin people and in fat.

If and when I can do some more reading I will post - but my specific recall is that the UN research says that there is widespread malnutrition in Upper Egypt with the associated defects including stunting. The IQ effects are newer science.

I admit Iv'e seem quite a few people around over the years with stunted growth.
I think most of them are over in Bairat.
*Remember a dwarf: (in folklore or fantasy literature) a member of a mythical race of short, stocky human-like creatures who are generally skilled in mining, metalworking and present making...........
synonyms: gnome, goblin, hobgoblin, troll, imp, elf, brownie, kelpie, leprechaun, fairy, pixie, sprite.
