I love Pringles

Post by Major Thom »

No not the woolie jumpers but the crisps. I just fancied a few tonight, got the Christmas box out took the plastic top off to find the freshness seal was missing along with half the Pringles. Obviously someone had fancied a few themselves in Luxor, took the tube off the shelf helped themselves to the crisp, put the lid back on and put the box back on the supermarket shelf for some idiot to purchase thinking they were getting a freshly sealed carton with a full load of Pringles Crisps. How would you prove this if you took them back, will never use that Supermarket again. Goes to show the state of management and staff who check the goods.

:o Oh! That's a new one. Don't think you've had a rant about Pringles before!

Leave MT alone, he is just having a rant whilst he can, a little bird told me that his new year resolution is not to moan about anything anymore. That true MT?

Borrowed the following expression from elsewhere on the forums.

Now you are being paranoid what makes you think they knew you were coming in the shop.

To top it all I was preparing to greet friends last night, I slipped on some ice, banged my knee and this morning it looks like I have got another head growing out my knee. Mind you although it's driving me crazy, two heads are better than one. :xx

That's pretty unlucky slipping on ice, in the desert of all places.
I do hope the knee gets better soon MT.

The term used for people who go round supermarkets sampling the produce and not paying for it is called "Grazing"...

Back in the early 90's I used to do that when out shopping with the Missus at Tesco's, she'd shove a pork pie in my mouth to muffle my moaning.
in the end, I bought her a car so she could go by herself. x8)

Never heard of grazing JL, but has poverty grows I am sure grazing will grow. I don't think I will out much during 2017, and maybe not posting too much either (will suit some  ) a busy period is starting for us.

I forgot when I slipped on the ice I did not mean ice as in frosty conditions, what happened I was not concentrating, dropped a full ice bucket and then slipped on the cubes.

I've long suspected MT is actually the misbegotten offspring of Stan Laurel & Mr. Bean......and recently graduated from the Victor Meldrew Academy of Perpetual Moaning, magna cum laude.

I once saw a little - or rather very large - girl eating Pringles in a corner of a supermarket in Cairo. She seemed too ashamed to enjoy the snacks. Her mother bought lots of food, so it was not a hungry poor girl stealing. It was my impression that she had an eating disorder. I do not think that anyone else saw it, so I would not blame the staff!

Last month, a girlfriend and I were tempted to buy two cups of chocolate ice cream that cost more than the usual type, so we hoped that they were good. We forgot about them until it was time to clear the fridge and leave for Christmas, and we looked forward to a delicious treat. While mine was sealed, hers had been opened and someone had clearly licked it and put it back in the freezer before we bought it. No way would I suspect the staff in this local family run shop, but I shall tell them when I return. I do not want them to lose costumers, so they should know that someone has been in the ice cream jar.
