:o One of my admirers just invented a new Egyptian English word, that I have added to my active vocabulary:

"Bennu, you are a very intelligentle human being." :gg:

 I am very flattered.

What a lovely word combination. One well worth remembering.

I remember some time ago a friend rang me when I was on the micro bus, I explained that I couldn't hear her very well and she said "oh you are transporting are you?"

When my daughter was small she called cuddles 'Huggles'. A combination of cuddle and hug I think. So sweet.

I've used the word huggles a lot in the past, especially with children.

Our dearest friend in Luxor (the husband with his lovely Egyptian wife and family)constantly used the word "orientation!"

Everywhere we went he advised us to "make orientation"so we could find our way back from where we had come from!

It seemed to be that this was proper grammar for English speaking friends..and that we would surely know what he was talking about! It's not! It's text-book English! And at one point we had to tell him that English speakers don't actually use this phrase!

"Make orientation?"For goodness sake...we informed him that as a person fluent in Italian(he previously worked with Italian tourists)that this phrase just didn't "cut the mustard"with genuine speakers of English..albeit with a Scottish accent..and the usual Scottish colloquialisms.

I like the traffic signs on the way from the airport (an other places) that tell you to rotate right instead of turn right.
