Trouble 't Djorff

Post by newcastle » Wed Mar 09, 2016 2:33 pm

*** BREAKING NEWS ***

Police were called to the West Bank hamlet of Djorff in the early hours of yesterday morning when local residents reported dreadful wailing noises emanating from a foreign owned villa. Villagers also claimed to have seen a ghostly apparition wandering about. The village sheikh had already put the disturbance down to an invasion of jinns and residents had bolted their doors fearing the worst.

Unable to hear anything, the police did however detect an overpowering smell of camphor and menthol, plus clouds of smoke rising behind the walls of one property pointed to by terrified onlookers.

The police decided to investigate further and, when backup forces had arrived, broke into the garden of the property where they observed an elderly expat, clothed head to toe in what appeared to be a huge white mosquito net, spraying the grounds with cans of insect repellent and carrying a large tartan sack with several strange pipes emerging at odd angles.

When asked to explain the situation, the expat could only keep mumbling " noseeum, noseeum..." before raising one pipe of the tartan bag to his lips and blasting them with the wailing sound mentioned in the original report.

Major Ahmed Selim of Luxor police was subsequently able to reassure villagers than no jinns had been found, but that a local foreign resident was helping them with their enquiries.

Nooo...don't bring that up again. It was far too taxing a subject.

Major Ahmed Selim, has now helped and formed the Djorf and District Pipe Band, with the purpose of clearing rats from Luxor!!

Just three tunes for those who don't realise how the pipes have moved on, and are gaining momentum on much larger scales through out the rock world.

Yeh Baby!! This so called elderly gent still knows how to rock out!! I am so pleased to be called elderly, it means i can share my thoughts and experience to the less well informed and those waiting to reach my age. I will tell you now you have not got long!!

You forgot the bit where the Iman complained the congregation had gone down, this was due to villagers not being able to hear the call for prayer.

It could be worse, you could have had something like this happen to your reeds:

They probably would have been useless with the glob of paint on them.
