Walking the Nile

What a brilliant program, we have been watching it for the past 2 weeks and it is fascinating. For those of you who have OSN Satellite TV, that's where it is been shown, on Discovery HD.

It was rubbish especially when he got to Luxor, I organised him meeting with Mohammed Saidi, a ballon flight, tombs and they also managed to drink a case of my Stella, So less than 5 minutes TV time on Luxor, what a f**** waste of time.

The program was called "Walking the Nile" not "Walking the streets of Luxor". There were many places along his walk where he only spent 5 mins filming. Don't forget the Nile runs from Botswana to the Med. and not from Gomolla to the Horus Bridge.

I believe that the TV in Egypt is state owned, so would it be too much of an effort to make a 6 part series on the historic sites of Luxor in a professional format and then sell the program to Discovery or a like TV Chanel for world wide viewing. There are more than enough places of Interest around Luxor to make such a program.
This would maybe raise interest in the City, enough so to raise interest for the return of visitors to view these sites first hand, and in turn bring much wanted revenue into the City. It's been a long time since real and interesting programs on Luxor have been aired, so a more non stuffy down to earth look on the historic sites may well bring its rewards.

Oh by the way this is only a suggestion, and in fact not even mine, but from a 5th time visitor a couple of weeks ago.
