I was thinking a Chinese one! Of course, there are also sometimes combined Chinese-Syrian markets.

I was Dr. just thinking of how long it took these projects, 5 years seems such a short time for a massive project.

Shushhhh…….'Well I just heard El Presidenti's Personnel Jet was seen at Luxor saturday with a rather important visitor.
If they had a power-cut during 'said VIP visitors view of old stuff it would have made a perfect opening to start discussing 'updating that old high dam they built, 'let's face it was the 'swinging sixties when built and like all great things we start to tire out..
And there weren't that many TV's, A/C's, Fridges, kettles, washing machines around here then.
Hope he gets invited to meet the white lunatics on the west bank the last governors meeting at Hatsatsu's was a great success..
Well I for one enjoyed myself immensely, once I got hold of the roving radio mic..
Ps: The Pope came here once all very hush hush.."alot of populus qui non sciunt"
Pss: Guess how many hotels on the East Bank in 1966 ?

What was the leaving gift Dr. Did you get to know, and as the new Governor received his welcome gift yet? :)

From the sounds of it, this chap has the qualities and qualifications to lead Luxor in the right direction, though I am certain he will have no time for an ex-pat comedy club, flags or no flags.

I am sure I will get the full sp on this guy when I arrive from my old mates, the last one was little more than a bookies runner.

Just to bring you up to date on the new Governor, there was a reception held for him last night at a certain small hotel in Luxor. While all the guests arrived quite early all in full 'black tie', he arrived wearing a two piece fawn suit, very well tailored. Although he is only about 5 ft 6ins, quite quickly you realise this guy is no ones fool, very little of the usual kiss-kiss ritual. I studied him carefully for about ten minutes, he seems to be what in Europe what we call 'self made'. He stayed for only 30 mins, I am told that things were not happy, would like to say more, but you will perhaps gathered, I am certainly not in London.

P.S. - I would love to be a fly on the wall if he ever is visited by the Comedy Club.

Why the riddles?

It would appear, if the grammar police don't say otherwise, that you were at same small, unidentified hotel, wearing full black tie.

There is a ring of untruth/obfuscation about your post.

So who else was at Gaddis? If you would like to say more, what is stopping you?

BYO you should have realised by now all A-4s posts are as you say obfuscation posts, I believe I once laid eyes on him walking up the Memnon road sporting shorts, sensible shoes and a pith helmet, I might well be wrong but he likes to remain elusive….

In all the years I have known A-Four I have never known him wear shorts - drink, certainly but never worn! :D

The thought of A4 in shorts tickled me. Never going to happen apart from the ones he wears in the swimming pool

O.K., I have thought about it. So why the riddles: either put up or shut up!

If you do not have anything positive and supportable to write, why not just not write. Riddles are a waste of everybody's time.

Well, it's quite simply this Brian, I like to ensure my facts when I write on here are correct, instead of having to publicly retract a statement, like your good self in the past, and also if I discover something that El Ahram would not write, do you think for one moment I am going to write it on here, while I am in Egypt, get real.

P.S. - I don't do guess work, to think that the man would have even gone anywhere near the Gaddis.
