WIZARD'S (new life).

Post by WIZARD »

Wizard's (new life)

Today is a big day for me. At 11am I leave the protective cocoon of Mary and George's flat and move into the official care of Luton local authority.

It's 7am, 15/09/2014. and I'm all washed, scrubbed and ready with bags packed and all else to start a new chapter in my life. It should be an interestingly wonderful experience for me, as in my past professional life thus far, I have been on the giving end of the preverbal stick. I'm sure there will be other guardian angels to take care of me as Mary and George have done.

I have already found a local RC church which shall become my new place of worship. My new found church is full of genuinely nice and friendly people. The two priests are both heart-warningly sincere and kind. I feel delightfully content when I'm in their company.

So, off I go, along the yellow brick road, and on to the Emerald City, to meet all the Lions and Tigers and Bears, both good witches and bad witches, happy Emerald City dwellers and Munchkins, along with an assorted bag of Tin men, Cowardly Lions and Scarecrows, and whatever else life has in store for me. Have no fear, I'll be in touch. You don't get rid of old Wiz that easily.

WIZARD.

Thank you Glyph. You have no idea how much I appreciate your kind words and good wishes on this, the dawn of a new and uncertain future for me. I feel sure your kind words of regard and concern are most sincerely given.

Life is a funny old game, and sometimes it appears cruel when changes come and there was nothing you could do to stop the changes from happening.
But what was taken with one hand, the other hand has already given something wonderful that has yet to be discovered.

I see it all the time in other people too, more recently with my own Son, who went through a terrible time and moved back in with us when we were last in Egypt.
Today, just over a year later, he is in much better place and has been for a while, and he didn't even see it coming.
But when I point out to him the events that led him to where he is today, he too relaised that maybe he is not the one who is in control of his life, and that the signs for his better life were already present in his old life.

Anyway, you concentrate on getting better Wizard, you already know that the UK NHS system is far superior to the Egyptian healthcare, and those 2 Angels of yours are close by...
There's a time for everyone, if they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.

The council had asked social workers to attend this morning. They decided that a short stay in a residential home to fully assess him is the best route, as bed and breakfast is not suitable for him. More later when we know where he will be.

Do remember to keep your back to the wall (they are not called "RC" for nothing), or at least wear clean underwear!

Good luck.
