Re: Letter to the Governor
Wonder if the governor has read the letter yet? The lights were all on last night.

Re: Letter to the Governor
Even if he's read the letter do you think he will make a decision based up the demands errr request of predominantly ex-pats?
Is it even his decision to turn off the lights? Surely as it's really the site of antiquities that is most prominently illuminated, would the decision rest with other authorities?

Hepzibah, he cannot have read it yet - the lights are on every night, but that is only until the governor reads the letter.HEPZIBAH wrote:Even if he's read the letter do you think he will make a decision based up the demands errr request of predominantly ex-pats?

Re: Letter to the Governor
The hotel down the end of my road may be lit up like Vegas .....but at least they're paying for it ....and due to the electricity pricing system they're paying a whocking bigger amount than a standard user ....so at least the electricity ministry has some money coming in. Unlike all the illegal lights where no one at all pays the bill at all. Who pays the bill to light the temples??
Personally ...and I say this as my pseudonym Pee'd Off In Alex ....but Mr electricity Chap needs to cut off all the street lighting nationwide for a start so all those getting free electricity and not paying are plunged into darkness. People can actually use the headlights on their cars for a change and shops can pay to light their own chipsy displays.

..and it would benefit the local crime lords and their minions. Think I'll open an Ever Ready torch and battery shop.
