ST, please can you help us out with the actual mechanics of your post above?

Like, with water, how do we "Plunge into cold after and cool rapidly"? Especially when your next advice is "Do NOT place in fridge whilst cooling!!!!

And, if the 5 minutes boiling has killed the germs, then how come the "Bacteria still breeding!!!"

You've got me a tad confused! (Which isn't difficult, mind!)

Tap water is fine with me out there, but I do not like the taste either.

In the absence of electricity....use fire..

Two points that our nurse seems to have forgotten - firstly, the high level of chlorine in the tap water that makes it unpalatable, will almost certainly kill off any pathogens, and secondly, although boiling thoroughly for 5 minutes is good, remember that for quite a long while while reaching boiling point, and cooling to the point that it is safe to pour into the bottle, the water temperature is above 60C which again will kill most pathogens.

Over the past few months, I've seen many different brands of water appear, and I wonder if the new water companies are the ones that are being investigated and closed down. Dasani, Nestle and Aquafina are manufactured in the same manner - ie being virtually distilled, and then controlled levels of minerals being added, so as they start off using tap water, their production should not be affected
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

Never had MRSA when natural products were used instead of all those expensive detergents and hand sprays, like in the war Oh! and plus and good old bit of forgotten elbow grease, remember that when applying all that expensive hand sanitizer....

Yes I did see something in the paper about you coming back as a lady doctor next time - it was probably some act of non sequential time bending that led you to your own diagnosis.....

Dasani was banned across Europe as it contained some sort of cancer giving agent, but was/is freely available here. I think it was a subsidiary of Pepsi PS, this took 8 re-logs!!!!

Dasani water was not banned it just received such a bad press in the UK because it was not a mineral water just bottled water.
Its a Coca Cola owned brand.

But not just any old water, water from......Quote: Dasani brand water was in fact treated tap water from Sidcup, a suburban development in London.
Early advertisements referred to Dasani as "bottled spunk" or featured the tagline "can't live without spunk". These slogans were used seemingly oblivious to the fact that spunk is slang for semen in the UK....

I have no idea why you need to repeat in every post you make on how many times it took you to log in Dusak. If you have a problem we have a section called Suggestions and Help Enquiries viewforum.php?f=13

I and many others dont have this problem, so it's not a proplem with the forum or our servers, the problem is at your end.

To start with, try a different browser to see if you have the same problem.

Dusak, have actually tried using a different browser? I ask because I am absolutely useless at all this computer stuff. If it's there in front of me and working as I thinnk it should, all wll and good, but if not, I am stumped!
On the main pc I use I had only ever had IE and used L4u on it for years without a hitch. Then I started having problems and when I expressed my problem here a number of our more computer savvy folk suggested trying another browser e.g. Chrome or Firefox. I opted for Chrome and have since had no further problems with using the forum.
It's certainly worth giving it a try if you haven't already!

Dusak, are you using a dongle? I encountered this problem when I borrowed a dongle for a while a couple of months ago. Every time I switched to another page on L4u, I was required to log in again (but I was still showing up among the logged-in names at the bottom of the site!). It was bloody frustrating. I was trying to sort it out with Keefy by e-mail because communicating via PM was virtually impossible. I changed browsers, from Safari to Firefox, as suggested but it made no difference. He did say that using a dongle could change an IP address and that might be the problem.

Now, on the dongle the loading speed on L4u was fantastic ... even if I could rarely do anything. The service from my present provider is absolutely dismal at the moment and I am about to change back to a dongle. Will I encounter that log-in problem again?

Dusak, I have posted on this problem on the 'green' side. Go have a look - it may be that it helps you a bit! (And before you all descend on me like a duck on a June bug - I am genuinely trying to help as one non-techie to another! :br )
