Africa! New Location

If during this summer, you’ll find the popular Africa Restaurant closed, don’t worry!
They are just moving a little closer to The Nile.
The restaurant will still be easy to spot when you get off the ferry on WB and apart from more space and a better view, everything will be the same.

You can still enjoy the atmosphere on the old roof terrasse until the end of this month.
In September, inshallah, Africa will reopen in a new building between its current location and Nile Valley.

That's right Bennu in fact the building is next door to the Nile Valley Hotel, along to go to finish the building yet but they may just complete one floor to get open.

Its a good job all the windows are at the front and side hey!!! Think the white is the final plaster they put on or in some cases do not before they paint the outside, it seals the cement and stops the coat of paint being absorbed into the cement rendering and fading within 3 months.....

I have just had this done to my Villa, because the builder failed to do it in the first place, all he did was paint on bare cement which is really pathetic and shows no experience at all, I did not know this until I had my villa surveyed after moving in. I think many will soon be getting their places surveyed shortly especially when the Property Tax letters drop through the letter boxes next month.

The Nile view from each table is stunning, you can even watch the football stadium from the brand new, good old Africa now.

It is lovely, same staff, same food, but very spacious and far more elegant, you will know that as soon as you enter the building.

I had a delicious dinner and really enjoyed the view this evening. I imagine that it must be pleasant at lunch time now - open but shady as the entire terrasse is covered.

Why a survey ? I built mine I thought you built yours, survey it's not what you know but who you know. Property Tax, chill out, mind you if you listen to our scottish nurse, 'go worry your self to death........

Again, Africa Restaurant is now open in its new location next to Nile Valley Hotel, property tax or not.

On our list of places to visit when we return end of December. Yes another tourist coming in December, via Hurghada. Enjoyed the old Africa, but the new one sounds fab.
