Yes, I know that I certainly do! It is just that when you skim this old thread about JJ, looking for the new posts, what you see are sick emoticons and mentioning of bad food. If it is necessary to repeat that including the emoticons, I find it important to stress that we are talking about a different place.

You are, of course, quite correct. I reward you with four Brownie points. JJ's is at the peak of this type of venue, especially in Karnak, whereas the other is at the bottom, approximately six feet below ground level.

Denisegr do not go to JJ's on a Wednesday night as you will find it closed!

Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday night there is live music from 9.00 by the Karnak Blues Band, with Monday being the night when guests with some sort of musical ability are welcome to jam with the band.

The food is excellent - and if you find the music too loud, and the bar stools too high for comfortable eating - upstairs there is a traditional restaurant area - chairs and tables, soft music and a seating area with, if memory serves me well 3 comfortable sofas,
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

And if you go to the upstairs area you can just about see Mr. Dusak's residence to your right. This will, of course, be the highlight of your visit. :D

Well this has to one of our favourites here in Luxor. To date the chicken curry is the best we have tried (unable this trip to obtain the recipe, but watch this space).

We spent an excellent evening with Jewel's and Axle who has a huge collection of music available on the nights they are not playing live music.

Jewel's birthday party is on Thursday (please check this as I was rather :br happy at the time) Happy birthday wishes to her unfortunately we will be back in the cold by then :py

They have sausages :!: :!: :!: :!: (to full on chicken curry to try but on good authority they are the best).
It is what it is.

Yes, their Birthday bash is this coming Thursday 11th.

Dusak, you had better go along. We don't want you complaining about the noise!

No problem with the noise BBLUX cos if you look at my sun tower you will see my latest acquisition from E-bay, a chain gun that needs trying out. :wi

Where exactly is this place?
Is it anywhere near Genesis?i.e on "Main Street"in Karnak?
Or is it down a side street?
I've never been to it,but it sounds like a good nite!
Been years since I stayed in Karnak as tourist(how long has Pharon been closed!)but my lovely long-standing Egyptian family still live there...so visit quite often, but that's mainly for dinner and to catch up on the family news! They don't frequent the bars!
And as I tend to go to theirs just for dinner,I never really notice many places en route.
Also..what's best nite to go?Not keen on Genesis(that's just personal choice!)

It is just down the side street literally opposite Genesis. There is (or was last time I was there) an estate agency on the corner.

Just to put a possible misunderstanding right - Jules - Axel's wife - is definitely not the Jewel who occasionally posts here about the problems the world is facing!
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!
